| The process Manufacturing contact lenses using multi channel peristaltic pumps to dose liquid monomers into lens moulds requires high accuracy within hygienic conditions. Working with the client’s development team E-ELEVEN made changes to the specification of the silicone manifold tubing to meet the client's particular need. The improved product resulted in increased accuracy, repeatability and extended the tube life. This resulted in the client experiencing a cost saving of £40,000 per annum. E-ELEVEN have extended the survey within this company to other production areas introducing material improvements resulting in further cost savings and are now extruding the client's total tubing needs. E-ELEVEN surveys are carried out free of charge in all application areas. |
